Professional Experience

Backend Developer Intern

Jan 2026 - Present

DropAddi, Remote, Lagos · dropaddi-vercel.vercel.app

  • Built and maintained RESTful CRUD endpoints for core delivery operations, supporting 30 requests/day in testing stage.
  • Wrote unit and integration tests covering 5 endpoints, raising test coverage and catching regressions.
  • Suggested ways and queries that can be added to index tables.
  • Worked in the implementation of Google Maps API for tracking parcels and delivery destinations.
  • Enhanced application performance and cut intrastate spend by stalling autocomplete API requests until user typing paused.

Personal Project

May 2024 - Present

Kaleidoscope – A Lightweight Google Drive

  • Built a RESTful file-management API with Node.js and Express, implementing user registration/login plus full file upload, download, and delete functionality across a clean controller-route-model structure.
  • Implemented JWT-based authentication with route-protection middleware, so each user could only access their own files through token-verified endpoints.
  • Integrated Cloudinary cloud storage for file handling, automatically provisioning an isolated storage folder for each user on registration.
  • Migrated the storage layer from Azure Blob Storage to Cloudinary.
  • Modeled data in MongoDB with Mongoose for users and files, and built custom error-handling middleware to return consistent API responses.
  • Deployed to production on Vercel with environment-based configuration for database URL, JWT secret, and cloud credentials.
